Spreading childcare (the center) is a faith-based organization built on integrity and trust to ensure those in our care receive the best services possible. Licensed and fully insured, the purpose of the center is to provide quality childcare services to prepare children for kindergarten and free assistance to the community and the youth after school with life mentorship, counseling, and the skills to strengthen mathematics, ELA, and foreign languages such as French.
The center is willing to provide information and resources to care for children with special needs. The Center’s Director and Lead Teachers have educational background in special needs.
Child care will be provided by individuals with the following qualifications:
Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and 5+ years of experience.
Starting in 2025, Program Directors of Spreading Childcare have bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. Program Directors hired prior to 2025 are allowed to keep their positions.
In order to comply with licensing regulations, each staff member gets a federal background check as well as a comprehensive fingerprint background check with the state of Michigan before starting employment for the center, the same procedure happens with volunteers before they enter the center. Each staff also has to sign a child abuse/neglect paperwork and provide proof of current tuberculosis screening records, CPR/First Aid and blood pathogen training records. Volunteers and staff with a record of child abuse won’t be allowed. Felons will be watched on camera; the center has video footage and they won’t be left alone with children.
Ongoing professional development opportunities for teachers and staff are provided by the contractors and occur throughout the year. Teachers are provided opportunities to attend Early Childhood Conferences and trainings on an annual basis.

According to State guidelines, smoking is prohibited in all licensed child care centers including outdoor areas.
The center will accept children from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
It is very important to note that Families are expected to arrive between 6:00 and 8:00 am. If you’re running late, please inform us. Your child should come well rested and fed. We do serve Breakfast at 7:30 AM. After 8:00 AM attendance will be marked as late. We do not accept children after 10:00 AM. Dismissal is between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM. A grace period of 15 minutes will be given to account for things like traffic. After the 15 minutes has passed, you’ll be charged $1 every minute after that. The late fee will be due on your next payment date.
Bus transportation with lift chair is also available.
After school programs such as mathematics and literature are available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. With delicious supper provided. Dismissal is after 6:00 PM
Life mentorship and counseling with a pastor are available from 6:00PM to 7:00 PM for those interested.
